BUDAPEST – THE CITY FILLED WITH ENERGY

During current times, where travel is a luxury, the heart still looks forward to those moments of bliss that travel provides. Travel is not just about recreation or friends and family catching up on a trip together making up for lost time. Travel is much more than that. Travel teaches us a lot of things both consciously and subconsciously. Travel teaches us to be more observant, gives us different perspectives about life, pushing us to self introspect ourselves over and over again. Travel changes us to become better people and better versions of ourselves. At the heart of travel, it brings about a change in us that we ourselves would have never imagined or thought possible in our wildest dreams. Such are travels, exhilarating to the extent that they leave us with breathtaking experiences and beautiful memories that we keep replaying in our mind and relish the feeling it brings.

Today, I am going to talk about one such travel experience of mine. Budapest, the city that stole my breath away with its magnificence of the way it was built, the vibe of the city, the energy that it brings within, surrounded by people is like a treat of fresh air. The lights, the roads, the bridges, the thermal springs, the architecture, the tattoo shops, the local markets, the food, the culture of the city can be felt by walking down the streets and by travelling in the local tram. The desserts are to kill for.

VIBE OF THE CITY

When I travel to any place, the first thing I do is try out the local food, travel using public transport, check out the local markets and book myself into a hostel as it provides me the space and opportunity to meet new people from all over the globe and also to get a better understanding of the city that would be my home for the next couple of days till I move on to my next nomadic destination.

The daylight provides for a different atmosphere, the calm, peace and the silence that stretches along letting us enjoy the breeze falling on our place. While the night brings in the contrast of lights, loud music, crackling energy to try out the crazy things by being spontaneous delving into the adventure that Budapest has to offer.

FOOD

The three course meal included Pumpkin soup, Butter noodles with Butter Garlic Chicken and the Dessert which forms part of the traditional food at Budapest. The chocolate Stohmer Dios Granit Kocka, I purchased from the local market was exquisite.

My best experience of Budapest was walking down the streets in the calm during the day and along the busy streets buzzing with energy at night. The people I met were simply amazing in suggesting the new things I could try out at Budapest, from the touristy to not so touristy locations which triggered me into making an impulsive decision of getting a tattoo for myself. The city has changed me in ways I didn’t think was possible and it is liberating to be able to experience the same. If you look forward to such an overwhelming experience, I definitely suggest that you travel to Budapest, for it is one of the places that I connected with the most at an emotional level.
