VEGETABLES IN PAPRIKA SAUCE WITH BUTTER GARLIC HERB RICE

During the Covid times, while everyone is being safe at home, instead of going to restaurants, we can home cook the delicious recipes that we would choose to eat if we dined out. Vegetables in Paprika Sauce with Butter Garlic Herb rice is one such recipe. It is a delight to the taste buds and a simple fun recipe to cook. It is a convenient and less time consuming recipe.

THE MAIN INGREDIENTS
The following are the main ingredients required to make Vegetables in Paprika Sauce with Butter Garlic Herb rice:-

  1. One tablespoon Garlic
  2. One tablespoon Chili flakes
  3. Nutmeg
  4. Carrot
  5. Yellow Zucchini
  6. Broccoli
  7. Green Bell Pepper
  8. Paneer
  9. Coriander leaves
  10. Mushroom
  11. Pepper
  12. Pasta Seasoning

HOW TO MAKE PAPRIKA SAUCE

  1. Add two tablespoons of butter. Once melted add two tablespoons of wheat flour and mix well. Then, add milk gradually in batches while continuously stirring to avoid lumps till you get a nice creamy consistency of the sauce.
  1. Put the nutmeg in a stone grinder and powder it.
  1. Add salt, black pepper, paprika powder, pasta seasoning, nutmeg powder, stir well and cook for 2 min. Set aside the paprika sauce. 

HOW TO MAKE VEGETABLES IN PAPRIKA SAUCE

  1. Pour one tablespoon oil, add garlic and chilli flakes and stir well for 2-3 minutes.
  1. Add carrot and babycorn and cook on high flame for 2-3 minutes. Add Green bell pepper, Mushroom, Zucchini, Broccoli, Add salt and black pepper. Stir and let cook on high flame for 2-3 minutes till it gets cooked. Add Paneer and green coriander leaves, let it cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  1. Once the vegetables are cooked, add the paprika sauce and stir well for 1-2 minutes. 

HOW TO MAKE BUTTER GARLIC HERB RICE

  1. Cook the rice in the cooker as is normally done and set aside.
  1. Add butter and garlic and stir well till the aroma of garlic can be smelt. Add cumin seeds, sonph, salt, pasta seasoning and stir well for 2 minutes.
  1. Add coriander leaves to the rice and stir well. The butter garlic herb rice is ready.

  1. Serve in a plate the vegetables in Paprika Sauce along with Butter Garlic Herb rice.

This is a healthy recipe. The flavour of paprika sauce is the perfect blend of spicy flavour of the paprika with a tinge of sweetness of the white sauce along with the different flavours of the vegetables is a delight to the taste buds. The spicy sweet flavour of Paprika sauce along with the bland and salty taste of butter garlic herb rice mix well allowing us to relish and rejoice in the different flavours separately and together. They can be served as lunch or dinner. 

Eating out has been a way of socializing for us, to catch up with our friends or relatives, have some tasty food and a good time together without having to actually do the cooking and all the extra work that it entails like preparing the ingredients, washing dishes and cleaning the kitchen once the cooking is done. We could allocate a portion of the time out of our schedule to cook and realize the psychological relief that keeping ourselves busy in physical activity for a portion of the day provides.
